Review:
We can't choose who we love.
I dove into Glass Sword the minute I was done Red Queen, having bought both of the hardcovers at the same time, I guess I knew that I was going to blow through the first one. Unfortunately Glass Sword didn't hold my interest as much as Red Queen did.
Mare was my biggest problem with the book, she felt like a whiny little baby throughout the whole book, always depending on her brother for support or backup with everything because she messed something up. I just couldn't be interested with her character in this one.
The book itself was a slower pace than the first one was, things felt dragged on, it all felt so predictable. Then there was the same feeling that I had with the first book, the feeling that I'd read it before. Unlike Red Queen, I found Glass Sword to be more Mockingjay instead of The Selection like I had thought with the first book.
In the end there was some build up for the third book, as well as an interesting cliffhanger. So perhaps I'll still pick up the next book in the series, King's Cage, sometime in the future.

Honestly, the minute Aveyard mentioned that Farley was sick for going to roughly 2 weeks, and Shade always following her around like a lost puppy, I knew that she was pregnant. Then with even more indications throughout the book practically confirming it, I'd actually be very disappointed if it doesn't happen at this point.
