Blog Tour: The Fallen Prince by Amalie Howard

Hello and welcome to The Fallen Prince Blog Tour!
I'm so excited to be able to celebrate Amalie's latest release with you all, I'm a super fan of her Aquarathi series!
So today I have for you an exclusive excerpt, as well as a contest for you to enter! I hope you enjoy, and if you enter the contest, then I hope you have good luck!

The Fallen Prince by Amalie Howard

Release Date: April 5th, 2016
Publishing: Sky Pony Press
Series: The Riven Chronicles, #2
Format: Hardcover, 384 pages

Description from GoodReads:

Riven has fought for a hard-won peace in her world, and has come to shaky terms with who and what she is—a human with cyborg DNA. Now that the rightful ruler of Neospes has been reinstated, Riven is on the hunt for her father in the Otherworld to bring him to justice for his crimes against her people.

But when she receives an unwelcome visit from two former allies, she knows that trouble is brewing once again in Neospes. The army has been decimated and there are precious few left to fight this mysterious new threat.

To muster a first line of defense, her people need help from the one person Riven loathes most—her father. But what he wants in return is her complete surrender.

And now Riven must choose: save Neospes or save herself.

The flare of blue fire is blinding. Then again, it’s gone so quickly that even if you were staring right at me, you’d blink and it’d vanish. The emissions from the process of eversion—shifting between universes—are unavoidable. However, I try to be careful, everting in concealed areas away from people, and away from the eyes of the Faction and the Guardians. They’re always watching for those who break the law—those who don’t
remain where they belong.
Me, more so than ever.
I belong in Neospes, a domed city in a parallel dimension to the Otherworld. But I’m here in pursuit of a man who everted over a year ago. A man who nearly destroyed my world in his quest for power. A man so consumed with retaliation that to let him loose in either world would be a colossal mistake.
And so I hunt him. I’ve been hunting him—across thirty states and always a step or two behind. He’s clever, brilliant, and a master strategist.
After all, he’s my father. And he’s my creator.
I may look like an ordinary girl, but I’m far from one. It’s something I’m still coming to terms with, ever since I learned the truth. I am a product of genetic experimentation and advanced robotics. I am the girl with nanoplasm for blood—the perfect combination of human and machine, an aberration of nature—and yet, its greatest creation. I am the only one of my kind.
My name is Riven.
And I am a killer.

The terrible curse that makes her blood run black will stop at nothing to control her. And Christian has a sinister secret of his own...

Without knowing whom to trust, can Victoria survive her blood's deadly desires? Or will she lose everything, including herself?

Dream Cast from the Author!

Victoria & Christian (Main Characters)

I’ve had the dream cast of the main characters in my head for a while ever since I wrote Bloodspell four years ago. However, since BLOODCRAFT is releasing a few years later, I had to go re-cast most of them because of the age of the actors. These are teenagers, after all. I’ve chosen two for each—which are your favorites?

Character Casting and Profiles

VICTORIA
Victoria Justice OR Naomi Scott

Likes: My favorite colors are red and silver. I love hanging out with my friends. I also love listening to music. My favorite season is winter because I love curling up in front of a roaring fireplace with a good book. I enjoy reading and travelling to different places.

Dislikes: Bullies. Being told what to do. People (or familiars) who hover. Politics (especially vampire politics).

Favorite quote:  Dance like nobody’s watching. Love like you’ve never been hurt. Sing like nobody’s listening. Live like it’s heaven on earth.

CHRISTIAN
Colton Haynes OR Alex Pettyfer

Likes: I like discovering new places all over the world. I enjoy people watching and seeing how they interact with each other. The human condition fascinates me. I also spend a lot of time reading books and watching movies. I enjoy all manner of musical instruments, but particularly like the violin. I love Victoria’s smile.

Dislikes: Not being able to walk in the sun. Agendas.

Favorite quote: Live the life you think you deserve.

Recommendation Fridays: The Aquarathi by Amalie Howard

Waterfall was one of those books I first discovered at the Public Library and never forgot about. It was always on my mind until I heard when it's sequel, Oceanborn, was going to be released. Then I was stuck thinking about Oceanborn all the time. The Aquarathi series is one of THOSE series, and trust me it's one of the best series to have a book hangover for.

A wacky twist on Mermaids and Aliens, Royalty, Romance. All the great qualities a book needs to drive a reader insane with needing more.

I highly recommend this series to everyone with a fancy for mermaids, it'll definitely satisfy any mermaid craving you have.

The series would probably be best for people who like the following books:
Fantasy, Paranormal, Sci- Fi, Mermaids, Aliens, Royalty, the Ocean

But like always, it's a great series for everyone!

Caught between a dark past and an ex-boyfriend who refuses to let her go, Anya knows that getting involved with anyone new is the last thing she should do. But when her past catches up to her, Speio turns out to be the only one she can trust, refusing to let her face her demons alone.
