Description from GoodReads:

A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.

A prince in danger must decide who to trust.

A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings.

Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war.

In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light.

Review:

   No gods, no hope.
Hyped books are always hit or miss for me. In this case, Wicked Saints was a miss.

My bookstore had Wicked Saints as one of their advance reader book club books, for the month of May. With my best friend being in charge of the club, I knew she'd eventually have to read it. I waited to buddy read it with her.

We usually have the same taste in books, so when she started reading it and didn't instantly love it, I knew I was in trouble.

I found Wicked Saints to be bland, and nothing new.

The things I loved the most about the book were swept under the rug and not focused on throughout the book. And at times, the book was very predictable.

Wicked Saints let me down, and so I do not picture myself picking up any of its sequels in the future.
